David started his career by working in the music industry which he loved as music was everything to him. After many years he fancied a changed and worked for the NHS working in different departments. Unfortunately, he had an injury at work, and this has caused him to become unemployed. Whilst waiting for a knee operation this has caused him to become slightly depressed. David heard about the course via his work coach and put himself forward as he thought it sounded interesting. He was initially nervous, but that changed when he seen all the equipment being brought in which turned him from being nervous to being very interested and excited to get going. He really got stuck in and took on a few roles within the first 2 days: operating sound, mixing console, also helping with the video audio and video editing. He was also the floor manager for the final show. ‘I was in my element and really enjoyed it.’ David said: The course has really helped me. ‘Truthfully it has got me out of a rut.’ I was happy to be given the opportunity to re-connect with people, building back up my confidence, gain new qualifications. ‘It was a breath of fresh air.’ The tutors where all fantastic. In summing up the course David said ‘This course was totally unique, the vibe is astonishing’ I would recommend other people not to hesitate, put your name down straight away. ‘You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.’
