Black Country Jobfest was a major success, bringing together job seekers, employers, and support organisations at the iconic Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton.
More than 150 customers attended the event, taking advantage of the opportunity to connect directly with employers, explore new career paths, and access support services designed to help them move into work.
A key highlight of the day was the availability of hundreds of live job vacancies across multiple sectors. Attendees had the chance to speak directly with employers, learn more about roles on offer, and take positive steps towards employment.
The event also featured carnival style mini games, with over 300 tickets distributed throughout the day. Excitement built as prizes were drawn, culminating in one lucky winner taking home the Star Prize, a brand-new Lenovo laptop.
The success of Black Country Jobfest was made possible through the support of partner organisations and employers. Their commitment helped create a welcoming, engaging environment focused on real opportunities and positive outcomes.
Release Potential customers also shared their feedback on the day:
“Thanks for making me feel welcome and making it so easy to talk to you all. I was pretty nervous before I came so thanks everyone.”
— Martin P
“Thank you to the Release Potential teachers / trainers and the entire department for organising the Jobfest and to all your partners it was great.”

Most importantly, we would like to thank every customer who attended. Your enthusiasm and engagement made the event a true success and highlighted the importance of bringing communities and employers together in one accessible space.
Black Country Jobfest has once again demonstrated the power of collaboration in supporting people into employment. We look forward to building on this success with future events that continue to open doors and create opportunities across the region.
