Finding she was in need of a confidence boost, when Julie found out about the programme from her Work Coach she knew it was the perfect choice. Julie was able to use the training and information from the course to secure a position within the NHS, and continues to find it helping her within her day to day role. Congratulations on the position, Julie, and we can’t wait to see how you progress!
What were you doing before you started the programme?
I had been unemployed for around 9 months before embarking on the course.
How did you find out about the training?
When attending an appointment with my Work Coach – Zak Zaman, the Coaching & Mentoring course details were shared with me.
Why did you decide to join?
I thought embarking on the course would help increase my confidence levels and assist with my ability to engage more comfortably when speaking in public.
What did you think of the training? How did it help you?
I thought the training was really good and introduced me to different people across different abilities. The information I secured on the course is also helping me now I am in my job, and the content gave a good starting point in understanding how and where I could further use what was being covered.
Were there any barriers or obstacles you had to overcome?
No real challenges for me to overcome.
What are you doing now?
I’m working as a Nursing Pathways Administrative Lead with NHS.
What impact has the training had on your life?
I feel much more able to support others well, especially now I am in a position of managing a couple of others in the team. The training has given me exposure and confidence in engaging with people of all abilities and across all walks of life.
What are your plans for the future?
I’d like to continue in the role I am currently doing as I’m enjoying it and like to make a difference in the support I can provide to others.
What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the training but wasn’t sure?
I’d say, If you want to find a course that will support with other skills such as speaking publicly, team building, coaching, working with others of varying ability and acquiring lots of transferable skills, then this would be great for you.
