What were you doing before you started the programme?
I had been unemployed for a few months and made some enquiries with my Work Coach around what I could do to help secure employment.

How did you find out about the training?
After pushing a bit, the Work Coach recommended the Release Potential course as well as another one. I decided to opt for the Release Potential one as preferred what it had to offer.

Why did you decide to join?
I thought that getting on the course would help me secure a job, ideally working from home which was what I was looking for.

What did you think of the training? How did it help you?
When I first joined, I was a little unclear about the benefits of the Masterclasses but it soon became apparent how useful they were. I liked the routines of the day which still allowed for breaks during the day which supported with my ADHD. I don’t usually enjoy learning and training but really enjoyed the delivery style and content provided by the Tutor which has completely changed my perception.

Were there any barriers or obstacles you had to overcome?
No real barriers. If anything it felt as if I had been productive which was good for my mental health.

What are you doing now?
My new job is based in DWP at the Job Centre.

What impact has the training had on your life?
The impact has been great. I’ve learnt lots of new skills, secured a job out of it and had some positive experiences during the course.

What are your plans for the future?
I’d love to remain in my new job for as long as possible. It’s a great opportunity to top up my existing skills and secure some new ones not in place.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the training but wasn’t sure?
The training is interesting and isn’t as daunting as you think. The Tutors relate the material to different scenarios and it’s a great qualification to have, as well as enhancing your chances of finding a job.
